CUSTOMIZED PROJECT APPROACH TO ESTABLISH FULL SATISFACTION
The project was kicked-off with a personal intake with the team of Elemental Water Makers, in which the clients requirements and demands were defined. This resulted in a tailor made project proposal, containing the footprint, costs, time-line for implementation and organization of the operations and support. Through close collaboration, this proposal was converted into a supply agreement to implement the solution. The project was carefully prepared and executed, through frequent communication with the client. The team of Elemental Water Makers managed the implementation process and delivered the turn-key solution which generates fresh water, while only using the sea, sun and earth. Local personnel have been trained to execute the maintenance tasks and through real-time remote sensing the water quality and reliability are assured.

Most private island in the world uses our solution
BelizeWater is the passion of island owners. It's an essential part of the stunning vistas and the key to privacy to the rest of the world. But it also creates an expensive sustainability issue, because the majority of the water covering the planet is undrinkable. Reverse osmosis, the most popular form of converting salt water to fresh, requires high consumption of electricity, which is not a reliable or environmentally sound option for remote islands.
For a Private Island owner in Belize, we have supplied a compact energy efficient desalination solution that produces 4800 liters or 1268 gallons on a daily basis from the surrounding seawater. During its operation, it only consumes 3.5 kWh/m³, which can be easily generated from solar panels using the ample sunshine.

We are currently preparing the installation of the solar and wind-powered desalination solution, that will generate safe and reliable water using unlimited resources for all guests and animals. An island eco lodge saves time and expenses
MozambiquePreviously, we were sailing a dhow to the mainland with a 5000-liter water tank. The crew had to walk 300 meters up and down with a petrol pump on their heads to fill the boat tank from the beach header tank. After sailing back, we would have to link the boat at high tide to the pipe that fills the water storage tanks on our island. This was hugely time-consuming, made worse by the 3.5m tide variation we have. Safety was also an issue in bad weather, that could overturn the dhow, which made us unable to load water at all in bad weather. This made water a constant issue that impacted on our construction.
Not anymore it ain't. We are delighted with the desalination solution, it has rocked our world completely.

Preparation of water intake for water supply for Condominium
BelizeWhat do you do when electricity is expensive and the piped water network is expensive, unreliable and of limited quality? This condominium requires over 8500 gallons or 32 m³ on a daily basis. This means that the cost saving we offer are huge. The solution that we are implementing results in a payback within 1 year. Currently, we have provided the water intake pump to prepare the well for the desalination solution, which is the next step to start enjoying a reliable supply of affordable fresh water.
Improving seawater intake for Desalination
British Virgin IslandsWe have improved the seawater intake for an existing desalination solution for a private island in the British Virgin Islands. The old seawater intake faced much turbidity, leading to frequent replacement of the pre-filtration and reverse osmosis membranes. It also used much energy, which directly involves high cost. We were able to restore an open ocean intake, improving the feed water quality and energy efficiency. The next step will be to implement an energy efficient and renewable energy driven desalination solution.
Field Pilot for Plant Nursery
Indonesia, BaliAt this location we have constructed a small-scale pilot that produced 2.5 m³/day or 660 gpd from brackish groundwater, using only the energy from 640 Wp of installed solar panels. This project has been the result of a cooperation between the University of Technology Delft, The Netherlands and the Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia and has proven the working principle of Let Nature do the Work. The project has won several prestigious innovation awards.
