Reliable drinking water for the island community.

Clean water supply is a major problem in the Philippines, ranking only 97th in global access to clean drinking water and having the highest water cost in South East Asia. Nearly seven million people rely on unsafe and unsustainable water sources.

Pandanon Island in Getafe takes pride of being the first to get Bohol’s first desalination plant. Governor Arthur Yap and Getafe Mayor Casey Shaun Camacho demonstrated how the facility works during the inauguration rites. This solar-powered desalination project in Pandanon Island, Bohol enables the production and distribution of clean potable water at low costs, while using the unlimited and sustainable resources of the sea and sun.

By applying our technology, working together with our local partner NXTLVL Water and the government, more than 2,500 inhabitants have gained access to clean, sustainable and affordable drinking water.

Our project in the Visayas, Philippines brought a consistent, resilient, high-quality, low cost and sustainable drinking water source to a 2,500 population island for the first time ever, and will greatly improve health outcomes for the community for years to come. EWM’s groundbreaking technology, as well as their operational flexibility in helping to deploy the project in the midst of the COVID-19 and community quarantine environment, have been invaluable in creating this tremendous social impact.”
